My daughters

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Psa 127:3 ~4

In this light, God has given my wife and me a heritage, two beautiful fruits, two strong arrows, Jeammie and Tonee. Jeammie is our eldest daughter, a fruit of hard birth pains. Joji took 21 hours in the labor room before we finally saw the gift that God has richly blessed us with. My first sight of her was a moment of unexplained joy. On the one hand, I was dazzled and mesmerized by the fact that I have this baby in front of me, but then again, I was caught in the fact that God only gives perfect gifts - that's just the way He is. To us, Jeammie was, and still is, God's perfect gift!

Three years after, God blessed us with another fruit. This time, Joji did not have as much difficulty as before. The joy in front of me was a totally different gift all along. Another perfection from God's hands, crafted with delicate care and the evidence of the passion of the greatest Artist. Awe, gratitude, affection - how to mix these emotions and come out sane? Yes, almost beyond sanity, I cannot imagine how God could bless us with so much! But then, that's just how He is. So to Him who gave us two of the best children in the world, to care for and tenderly love, Joji and I offer our highest gratitude and unending worship. The Lord be magnified for these wonderful gifts!
