Bagong Milenyo
I typed wrongly I guess. The title should be Bag"y"ong Milenyo. What a storm it was! This was a time when we huddled together as a family and joined together in beautiful worship and thanksgiving because of God's protection throughout the storm.
At the first onslaught: September 28, 2006, 10:51 AM.
One of the first casualties... our neighbor's mango tree.
Our neighbors with helping hands. Clearing of the fallen trees was immediate.
The next day, September 29, 2006: People fixing roofs... or what remained of them.
An onlooker standing by while others are fixing the roof and cutting branches on the rooftop. This scene was along Pulo road on the way to Cabuyao exit going to south super highway.
A view of fallen billboards along south super highway. There was a lot of them!
Alabang Town Center was not excused. The Acacia tree at the center of the amphitheater fell too.
On the way to Jeammie's school, the sign says "bump ahead". Such a big bump!
Meralco people at work.
But all in all, thanks be to God who protected us from the power of this storm. Sometimes, He sends difficulties for us to remember that we are but so small and that we cannot be independent of Him who made us.
